Here is a download for Halo PC

(This is in google drive, just click the arrow at the top of the screen to download)
I just made this zip from my original disk, so no virus concerns. Just extract it into a folder and run setup. After the setup is done, install the 1.0.10 patch.

These should all install, but some servers wont allow them in or you can only use them if no one else in the server is using that particular one.... but, it's worth a shot.

General Chat / CE Server setup assistance?
« on: June 04, 2017, 01:44:10 pm »
Might seem like a silly question, but I was trying to setup a CE server to run behind my firewall at home on my server... but I cannot, for the life of me, get it to work on the internet.  My home server runs 24/7, I can setup a VM for us to use for CE, if I could get it to work...

Has anyone setup CE server, behind a NAT'd firewall, and got it to work?

I can get it to show in the list of internet servers, but it has no ping and no one from the internet can join.  I've done this with the dedicated server and the game itself, both end up with the same results.

I've forwarded UDP 2302/2303.  Some sites call out other ports, I've tried them all.  I also tried forwarding the entire range of ports to the machine (1-65535).... that doesn't work.  I went ahead and enabled UPNP, which I loathe, and that didn't help.  I've tried disabling all the advanced stuff on my firewall (IDS, IPS, proxy, antivirus, etc...) and that didn't help.

netstat only shows the server listening on 2302/2303.

Anyone have any ideas?  Anyone tried to do this recently and was successful?

General Chat / Get a VPS server and, in turn, donate to the clan
« on: February 06, 2016, 11:57:13 am »
So this is kinda cool, we have a referral system for digital ocean.  This is a good way to donate to the clan and get something in return.

If you would like a VPS (Virtual Private Server), their smallest is $5/month.

So, here's the deal.  If you sign up with our referral you have to pay the first month and then you automatically get $10 credit, or two months free.  Next, once you spend $25 with them, they will credit the clans account $25.  So, it goes like this:
Month 1 - $5
Month 2 - $0   FREE
Month 3 - $0   FREE
Month 4 - $5
Month 5 - $5
Month 6 - $5
Month 7 - $5

So for 7 months service you have spent $25 and got a server AND the clan gets $25 credit, which would hold us for 5 months.  Nice thing is that if you were going to donate $25 anyway, then you get 7 months of a server to use and the clan still gets $25.

Seems cool to me, I'll probably get one myself.

Compliments of Gauntlet:

Be forewarned, it is very large (over 50GB compressed) and needs 7zip to decompress it.  Once it is decompressed, it is over 200GB.

PC Related Stuff/Questions / How would you prefer to plug in an HMD?
« on: March 24, 2013, 08:24:47 pm »
I need some gamers input on this.

An HMD is a Head Mounted Display (like for virtual reality).   If you were going to buy an HMD for gaming and plug it into your computer, would you prefer one video input or two?

The reason I ask is because the video quality could be greatly increased if it had dual inputs, and I think that most any gaming computer should be fine with dual inputs.

Lets supposed that IF you used dual inputs, you would have the choice of either input being VGA, DVI, or HDMI.  The two inputs would not have to be the same.  The two inputs would need to run on the same card or an identical performing video card though, since one slow monitor and one fast one would be sucky.

Keep in mind, this is only for gaming purposes, for a virtual reality HMD.

Added for clarity --
1 - Motion tracking WILL be included in the HMD, moving it will be supported and needed for proper and full use
2 - Only a single cable will connect the HMD to a breakout box.  The breakout box will connect to USB and the video card.  The breakout box stays next to the computer.  This is done to reduce the weight and complexity of the HMD itself.
3 - A Headphone plug will be included on the HMD itself for whatever headset you may prefer.
