New Macintosh stuff
« on: January 08, 2008, 07:37:37 pm »
Graphics
8 Core Processor

I spent 2 hours running my brother in laws computer last night with Leopards new screen sharing feature.  He very difficult to teach from 2000 miles away because he doesn't understand the terminology.  I've never been able to make him understand the meaning of URL and its function.

Using screen sharing I was able to take over his computer and teach him things that wasn't possible over the phone.  All the while doing this video chatting on iChat.  I love these things

Ship time for the standard config (with the ATI card (ick) ) is 1 to 3 days.

Add the NVidia 8800GT card and ship time changes to 3 - 5 weeks! Ugh!

Can't wait to see what they come out with next week!
Thanks, Drizz!

Heh. I built my ideal mac pro yesterday.  $23,000....  I doubt I would have needed 32Gb of ram or 1.2 Tb worth of raptor drives, its always nice to have "just in case"....
